How Does an Ionic Detox Foot Bath Work?

The OPTIMUM Detox Footbath™ creates an ionization osmosis environment, running negative oxygen ions through your body pulling and attracting the positively charged impurities, heavy metals, etc. out through the feet into the saline solution in the bath. Impurities are pulled from the body, increasing natural resilience.

The noticeable change in foot bath water is due to a combination of (1) an oxidative reaction of the salt in the bath water combined with the machine components, and (2) cellular waste and impurities discharged into the water.

–  If any of the following apply, OPTIMUM Detox Footbath CANNOT be done:​

  • Have a pacemaker or an electronic device in your body
  • Are nursing or pregnant 
  • Have had an organ transplant
  • Are taking a life-threatening medication
  • Have an existing blood clot
PRECAUTIONS
If any of the following apply, consult your physician before using the OPTIMUM Detox Footbath:
  • Have an auto-immune disease
  • Have a liver disease
  • Have epilepsy
  • Are taking any medications, including blood thinners

Please note: Ionic foot baths are not recommended for those with a pacemaker or other internal electronic devices, or those with epilepsy. If either of these conditions apply to you, please plan to do the detox bath soak at home. You can make your own recipe by combining 2 cups of baking soda, 2 cups of sea salt, and 1 cup of Mule Team Borax. We also sell bags of this recipe at GVEC.
