One of the many terrific things about the Energy Enhancement System is the holistic way the technology is designed to support health. Whereas typical allopathic or conventional medicine seeks to pinpoint the cause of a problem (bacteria, virus, fungus, cancer, etc.) and oust it or destroy it, holistic medicine is all about supporting the entire person or animal, thus creating a “host” body so strong that disease can’t survive there. These different approaches to health are also sometimes known as The Germ Theory of disease versus The Terrain Theory. The germs are the invaders that need to targeted, according to allopathic medicine, while the terrain is the human or animal body that is experiencing some sort of compromise or weakness and thus allowing the problem to continue, according to holistic health philosophy. The goal of the EESystem in particular, and holistic health in general, is to ensure your body has what it needs to be strong enough to heal itself.
Reflexology is one component of a holistic/terrain health approach. It’s a system of massage on the feet (and sometimes hands and ears) that relieves tension and releases the flow of energy in and through reflex points that are linked to every part of the body. So, if you have concerns about your knees, lower back, eyes, stomach, liver, or somewhere else, reflexologists believe there are reflex points in your feet that are connected to the problem area. Stimulating these reflex points removes energy restrictions, thus increasing circulation and the flow of energy to these body parts. Reflexology is, then, another way to give your body the raw materials (in this case blood and energy flow) needed to heal itself.
There isn’t much scientific research on reflexology, and what there is focuses mainly on pain and anxiety/stress relief. Plenty of documented personal reports suggest that other potential benefits include boosting your immune system, relief from viral or bacterial infections, recovery from lower back problems, improving digestion, relief from arthritic pain, improvement in sinus problems, and correcting hormonal imbalances. We believe it can’t hurt, and even if the main benefit is a reduction in anxiety, stress, and pain, there’s going to be an improvement in just about any ailment where those symptoms are present.
At GVEC, we do an abbreviated reflexology session at the beginning of your EESystem session. We’ll ask what concerns brought you to our center and then massage those corresponding reflex areas of your feet to “prime the pump” for the EESystem, help you tune in to these body areas, and set your intention for restoration in your energy session. If you prefer, you can request we skip this service, but we encourage you to give it a try.
