To save time, it may be tempting to skip the detox bath following your energy chamber session, but please don’t. As Dr. Sandra Rose Michael, the creator of the EESystem technology explains, the energy chamber session is step 1, and the detox bath, performed within 24 hours of your energy session, is step 2. They’re meant to go together, and here’s why. Most of us have spent years building up toxins like heavy metals and other environmental chemicals in our bodies. One of the beautiful effects of an EESystem session is pushing these nasty things out of their hiding places in our bodies, but it’s important to do everything we can to ensure they are indeed eliminated and not reabsorbed. Purging them through your skin is the best way to do that, which is what the detox salt bath is designed to facilitate. In fact, your skin is such an important organ of detoxification that’s it’s been called the “third kidney.”
While the bath is the detox cornerstone, Dr. Michael recommends a holistic approach to detoxing that also includes drinking a lot of water before, during, and after your EESystem session to flush out toxins. The standard daily recommendation for water consumption is half your bodyweight (in pounds) in ounces of water. So, if you weigh 150 pounds, you need to consume at least 75 ounces of water daily. That’s a minimum. If you sweat from exercise or other exertion, then that number should go up. For detoxing, it should also go up. When your cells experience the hyper-healthy environment of the EESystem and they soak up that energy boost, one of the first things they want to do is “clean house” or push all the toxins out of your body. Water supports that process, and the detox bath is an even more powerful facilitator. The sea salt in the bath mixture has a negative charge, whereas the toxins have a positive charge. So, when the two electrical charges combine, the salt binds the toxins for elimination out of the body. If you skip the detox bath, there is a greater likelihood that those released toxins will be reabsorbed.
Another holistic aspect of detoxification is colon health. Ensure that your colon is actively eliminating daily and not allowing toxins to sit too long. Herbs such as cascara sagrada, aloe vera, marshmallow root, or slippery elm can support colon motility if needed, as can high fiber foods such as fruits and vegetables.
Set aside a minimum of 20 – 30 minutes for the bath soak, and make sure the water is warm to hot. Not so hot that it burns your skin, but as warm as you can tolerate. The hot temperature opens your pores, thereby ushering toxins out more efficiently. The bath recipe below is simple, and you probably already have the ingredients at home, but if you don’t, you can pick up pre-made packages at GVEC.
- 2 cups salt (Kosher or sea salt, not table salt or Epsom salt)
- 2 cups aluminum-free baking soda
- 1 cup Mule Team Borax
An optional add-on (add 2 tablespoons to the regular ingredients) is Dr. Michael’s EESystem Salt which contains additional minerals plus bentonite clay and has been hyper-charged in her facility. You can purchase Dr. Michael’s EESystem Salt mixture here.
Why did Dr. Michael choose these above ingredients? As mentioned previously, toxins are a positive charge, and salt is a negative charge, so salt pulls out toxins like a magnet. Baking soda can help neutralize toxins and balance pH, and Borax is also good for pulling toxins out through the skin.
If a full-body bath soak isn’t possible (e.g., if you don’t have a bathtub or have mobility limitations), we offer ionic foot bath detox services as an add-on to your EESystem session. We perform the foot baths during the last half-hour of your energy session, so when you’re done, you’re done! Just select the foot bath as an extra service when you schedule your session.
